He learned the craftsmanship of bespoke shoes-making from the famous Japanese shoes craftsman, Chihiro Yamaguchi at “GuildWeltedFootwearCollege” in Tokyo. In 2010, he was awarded with the gold medal in Custom-Made Shoes category at ‘The international efficiency contest of the shoemakers’ event in Germany. Highly skilled Masaru Okuyama is now based in Hong Kong. Those are few examples of his beautiful Bespoke shoes.
