Last week, the British designer (and grand architect of the garment) Mr Vincent Smith unveiled his couture collection Tailored by Mr Smith and it’s ready-to-wear line ‘Mr Smith’ for Autumn Winter 2015 at Pitti Uomo in Florence, Italy.

‘Tailored by Mr Smith’ is a couture collection for men entirely handmade in a discreet Atelier in Montmartre, Paris.

In this collection, we discover beautiful coats built with exceptional technical expertise. There is a double breasted coat made in Serge in ‘Rose poudré (powder pink)’, a double breasted coat made of vintage serge in ‘Taupe foncé (dark taupe)’ colour, a single-breasted coat made of a technical fabric in ‘Vert de gris (greyish green)’ and an overcoat made of double sided fabric in gray.

This double breasted coat in powder pink caught my attention by his elegance. This vintage serge powder pink fabric was exclusively developed in collaboration with Japanese fabric manufacturer called ‘Nikke’. Only three coats in ‘powder pink’ will be available.

Carefully crafted, the two button suit made of a beautiful tweed flannel in marled grey has some amazing details.

The tuxedo in black flannel fabrics gives it a perfect drape.

The silk cummerbund is created in an original form inspired by Japanese Origami cutting and folding techniques.

The ready-to-wear collection “Mr Smith” also reveals beautiful clothes. There is a beautiful black overcoat in double face fabric stitched and handcrafted in Paris. This overcoat has subtle shoulders and delicate lines that give it an undeniably elegant silhouette.

Vincent Smith also redesigned the “British warm” in a more modern and fitted version, made from lightweight Melton wool available in beige and dark blue.

The two-button suit made of plaid brown wool fabric is very elegant. This suit is also available in a light blue flannel with a silky touch.

Vincent Smith perfectly masters the structures of the garment. He selects prestigious and sometimes even innovative fabrics. Vincent Smith pushes the limits of ready-to-wear with fine couture details. Each garment provides a style with discrete elegance.
