The best boutique for garment alterations in Paris is ‘Couture Pasquier‘, located at number 5 Rue de Pasquier, in the neighborhood of Madeleine Plaza. In the last few months, this atelier established by Assane Pene had become a veritable tailoring house called ‘Maison Pen‘. This young house provides an excellent tailoring service at a very attractive price.

Born in Senegal, Assane Pene began his apprenticeship at the age of fourteen in Dakkar, under master-tailor Lay Diarra. After many years experience, he decided to pursue his passion for tailoring in Paris in 2003. His early years in the French capital were difficult ones, but his perseverance and talent are finally bearing fruit. Over the past 13 years, Assane Pene worked for the biggest tailoring names in Paris such as Smalto, Camps de Luca, Arnys, Berluti or Cifonelli.

At the beginning of October 2016, the tailor Assane Pene launched its own project “Maison Pen”, supported by the young sales manager, Théophile Cormillot.

Maison Pen recently unveiled an exciting tailoring service starting at 980 euros (around 850 £/1050 $) with fabrics from Holland & Sherry and Dugdale Bros & Co. The tailoring house also has a beautiful selection of fabrics from famous houses such as Drapers, Fratelli tallia di Delfino, Scabal, Loro Piana, Caccioppoli and many more.

Suits are fully canvassed in the north of Roma, Italy. A few weeks after measurements are taken, Assane Pene is taking care of the many fittings and improvements until it’s absolutely perfect.

Backed with 26 years of tailoring experience, the gifted Assane Pene provides a new vision for the elegant man in a casual atmosphere located in the middle of Paris. It’s called Maison Pen.
