Charismatic Kevin Spacey plays ambitious American congressman Francis ‘Frank’ Underwood, perhaps the grandest Machiavellian of them all.

I loved that frequently Francis Underwood speaks directly to camera to tell the viewers his thoughts, explain his next diabolical plot.

Two-time Academy Award winner Kevin Spacey dressed for the role by Savile Row tailor Gieves & Hawkes, in ‘power’ suits often in blue, Democratic party’s color. In many ways Underwood’s dress sense showcases how politicians dress today: conservative, powerful and above all, consistent.

This tv-show is a must see !

But this week, I had the great pleasure to visit John Lobb Bespoke atelier, based at the 32 of Mogador Street in Paris.

Highly qualified craftsmen are working in a beautiful atelier located in the middle of Paris with high ceilings, wooden floors and excellent natural light. Each pair requires an average of 50 hours of work by using traditional shoemaking techniques. John Lobb Bespoke service is unique, a subtle balance between the timeless elegance and fantastic comfort.

I was received kindly in the small but cute workshop located in Flatbush, Brooklyn.

In 1995, Peter Frew discovered tailoring after high school with a renowned tailor, Mr. Norris Parchment in Savanna-la-Mar (Jamaica). Then to perfect his knowledge, he apprenticed with a former Savile Row tailor, Mr. Jahro.

It was a delight to talk about his passion for Bespoke tailoring, and I was please to discover the amazing work of Mr. Peter Frew. He got such a rare talent and enthusiasm, I’m sure he will be successful in New-York City.
